The Siren
The Siren has been sold and is in a private collection
The Siren has been made from puppen fimo polymer clay, baked to the manufacturers specifications to ensure that she is correctly cured. She is painted with thin layers of Genisis Heat Set paints to achieve a realistic skin tone.
She is built over a sturdy wire armature.
Her eyes are blue and are hand painted and glossed for realism. Her hair is dark bluey grey, made of fine quality curly Gotland wool, decorated with glass beads and tiny sea shells. Her tail is pale silvery grey with an irridescant tail fin.
The Siren sits on top of a tall rock pillar made of air dry clay and mixed media. Sea water runs over the rock back into the sea. She is removeable from her base.
In her seated position she measures approx 13 inches from the bottom of her rock base to the top of her sea shell headdress.
