Another piece finally finished today, everything seems to be taking me a long time at the moment as I'm still not very well - I have something called Erythema Nodosom (an autoimmune problem which hopefully will dissapear soon) which makes me very tired, makes my ankles swell up and all my joints really ache aswell as big painful lumps suddenly appearing on my arms legs. Anyway, to cheer myself up I made a naughty naked male chocolate smeared fairy! He is called 'Chocolat' (pronounced with a very bad French accent....). I had lots of fun making him and also making the chocolates too which are all made from polymer clay. Too see work in progress pics click here.

For anyone wondering who won the last IADR show - the brilliant winning entries were by Larysa Champagne and Ksheyna Nightswood, congratulations to both! Click on the photo below to see more of his finished photos I finally got around to finishing my BellaDonna fairy. I decided to sit her on a 'stone' as there would have been to much green if I had used the original base that I had intended.

She now has a greenish skin tone with lots of purple and green mottling and looks much more how I first imagined her to be. I've also added more foilage to her dress and the backs of her wings
I've started work on the base and she should be finished in a day or two. Click on the photo below to see her work in progress pictures. I finally finished sculpting her, and now she is dressed in leaves and flowers, wigged with dark purple mohair and has purple wings. I am a little annoyed with myself as before I started her I googled Belladonna flowers and two different types of flowers came up in the results - the purple and yellow flowers that I have used and also a darker pink flower - I went with the purple flower as that was always what I though Belladonna or deadly Nightshade looked like - and now I have found out that actually the flowers that I have made are Woody Nightshade - d'oh! I had to make her berry red rather than the dark purple I was planning as Woody Nightshade has red berries. Not really sure if I should still call her BellaDonna really, but I like the name so BellaDonna it is!
She is almost done now - all I have left to do is her base. Click on the photo below to see more of her work in progress pictures. I've got a little further with her, she now has a torso, one leg complete with foot and half the other leg.

His costume is now complete, the blackberries and leaf and bramble stems are fully removable (they took a fair bit of thought and experimentation to make them so they are durable yet flexible to work as intended). Overall I'm pleased with the result. Just his wings to make now, and I'm currently waiting for some supplies to arrive before I can make a start on them.

Click on the photo below to see some of his work in progress pictures As I mentioned in my previous post, I started this piece ages ago. I've reworked the crow a little, and have made a totally new rider, and it is finally finished! It's been a nightmare trying to take some decent pictures of it as its not the easiest piece to photograph.
