One last piece finally finished today and I'm pretty pleased with how his pose turned out, he is supposed to look as though he is swimming draggin a fishing net behind him - hurrah for square tubing and rods!. Yet again I didn't have time to upload work in progress pictures during his creation, but you can see them by clicking here. Click on the photo below to see more shots of the finished piece :)
Well, he took me longer than anticipated to finish (mainly due to my own stupidly - I manged to sprain my ankle while mowing the lawn in flipflops...and was confined to the settee for a couple of days!) Rather annoyingly, he decided once I had finished his tail that he didn't want to balance nicely on his rock anymore (which was found on a beach in southern Brittany), but nevertheless I'm still pleased with how he has turned out :) Click on the picture below to see the finished photos Click here to see more work in progress pictures.
Just got back from a holiday in France, a whole week without clay eek!! We stayed near the beach, and I came back with some interesting shells and stones. It seemed logical to make something sea related, so I've started my first merman.
