Well, I finally got around to finishing a piece that I started ages and ages ago, and she is done just in time for Halloween :)

This is a piece that I started a while back and didn't have time to upload any work in progress shots as I was making her. She is pretty much finished now - I just need to do her boot laces and then make a base for her. I really enjoyed making this one, especially her corset, biker boots and her victims blood stained converse trainer :)

Click on the photo below to see more finished pictures I started making a fairy riding a crow quite some time ago - but I kept stopping and starting because I just didn't feel he was right for the piece. Anyway, after sitting on my shelf for ages gathering dust and almost being thrown in the bin, he has finally shown me who he wants to be.... He is almost done - just the base to make as he won't be sitting on the green ball when he is finished.

The vampire bride was my entry for what I THOUGHT was July's IADR contest - but I got mixed up and the theme is actually 'Elders' for this contest, and Septembers Contest is 'Pin Ups' - so I will hold off on making the base for the vampire bride for a little longer as I am going to enter her as Vampire Bride Pin up. Anyway, she is almost finished, just a base to complete.. Click on the picture below to see all of her work in progress pictures. As some of you may have noticed its been a while since I last posted. Things have been very, very hectic - I had a big party to organise and cook for, and dealing with my eldest son's behaviour has been challenging to say the least...
Finally though I have found enough time to start on a new piece! I had originally planned on making a male figure, but as sometimes happens the clay seemed to have a mind of its own, and what eventually emerged was a rather scary female vampire.... and she has already managed to draw blood - while sculpting a knife fell off one of my shelves and cut my finger, oddly its the only time that I have managed so far to cut myself while sculpting!
