The staff in his hand is called a thyrsus - it was supposed to be carried by satyrs and worshippers of Dionysus or Bacchus, and was an ivy covered staff topped with a pine cone which dripped honey. The panpipes and fruit are all also made from polymer clay - the fruit is actually abit of a sore point lol - I carefully (or so I thought) researched what kinds of fruits grow in Greece, since Pan is from Greek mythology, and in the list of fruits that came up were Kiwi Fruit - however, after I had painstakingly made my kiwi fruits and glued them onto the base my husband told me that "yes, kiwi fruit grow in Greece NOW but back in the days of the Greek Myths they only grew in China!" AARRGGGHHHHH! Anyway... ssshhhhhhh - lets keep that between ourselves and hope that no one else will be as anal as my husband and Google when Kiwi Fruit made its way over to Greece!
