Xylina the Hunting Fae and her squirrel mount
Xylina the hunting fae and her squirrel mount have been sold and are in a private collection.
Xylina is made from a blend of Cernit and Kato polymer clays, baked to the manufacturers specifications to ensure she is correctly cured. She is painted with thin layers of Genisis Heat Set paints to achieve her realistic skin tone which is complete with a smattering of freckles.
She is built over a sturdy wire armature and would stand approximately 8 inches tall if she were standing.
Her eyes are blue, hand painted and glossed for realism. Her hair is mohair and is a a blend of two different shades of red. It is adorned with a hair band made of real silver and feathers.
Her dragon fly wings are mixed media and are made by myself. Her outfit is made from leather semi precious stones and feathers, it is not removable . In one hand she holds a spear made from wood and clay, adorned with feathers.
Xylina rides a red squirrel which is complete with a leather saddle and harness, adorned with semi precious stones. The squirrel is also made by myself and is made of polymer clay and flocked with mohair and accented with acrylic paint. Its eyes are black and have been glossed for realism. It has been sealed with varnish.
Xylina is removable from her squirrel base.
